The Independent Command Programme (ICP) is a newly developed programme by NPIA which is aimed to assist in preparing Chief Superintendents, police staff equivalents and Superintendents operating at an independent command level, for attendance at Senior PNAC and the Strategic Command Course (SCC).

Senior Police National Assessment Centre (Senior PNAC)
Senior PNAC 2010 will take place 04-17 September 2010 at NPIA Bramshill.
NPIA have held a number of Senior Police Staff & Chief Officers' Selection Open Days throughout the UK to provide information about Senior PNAC.

Senior Police Officer
Intake 1: 04-07 September
Intake 2: 09-12 September
Intake 3: 14-17 September
Strategic Command Course (SCC)
Those successful at Senior PNAC will participate in the SCC which will commence in January 2011.
Following success at the SCC, officers will be eligible to apply for Chief Officer roles.
