The quality of the training provided and a commitment to deliver an outstanding level of customer service has seen the Scottish Police College recognised on a number of occasions by several of the United Kingdoms premier training and quality assurance organisations. 

In December 2007 the College won the United Kingdom National Training Award. This is the premier award for Training and Development in the United Kingdom.  The awards are supported by the UK Government and awarded in recognition of the best training initiatives in the UK.  In 2007, the Scottish Police College won the award for its Probationer Training Programme. At the same time the College took part in the Scottish Qualifications Authority Star Awards and was rewarded with;

• The Highly Commended award in the Lifelong Learning category for the Diploma in Police Service Leadership & Management.

• The SQA Champion award for leading in the development of qualifications

• The prestigious Pride o’ Worth award – the highest award – for the leading educational developer in Scotland.

The College has also been recognised with awards from the Charter Mark organisation in relation to the quality of service provided to customers and by Investors in People in relation to staff training and development. The College was the first police training establishment in Europe to receive an award from the European Foundation for Quality Management and has also received awards form Quality Scotland.  

The Scottish Police College is keen to build on its reputation as a leading provider of police training and strategic support for the international market. The International Development Unit is keen to identify policing partners around the world and provide them with the support necessary for them to ‘provide their staff with the best possible and learning and development opportunities’.
