The College has a dedicated Recreation Block which has within

  • Fully Equipped Fitness Suite
  • Games Hall (33.5m x 18m) – suitable for 5-a-side Football, Basketball, aerobics and other recreational sports
  • Large Swimming Pool*
  • Sauna
  • Steam Room

The College also has -

  • Two full-size outdoor football pitches
  • Two full-size snooker tables
  • Putting
  • Table Tennis

*Only available when a lifeguard is on duty

The McLeod Room bar and lounges are open Monday to Thursday between 2000 – 2300 hours.

The Cooper Lounge is available on a Sunday evening between 2000 – 2300 hours.

In line with the licensing laws students must be members of the College Club before they are permitted to use the College bars.

Alcohol is not permitted to be consumed within bedrooms or within any public area within the College.


The College houses a Starbucks Coffee Shop, which is located above the Assembly Hall.

A variety of freshly made teas, coffees and snacks can be purchased.

College Shop

The College shop provides a range of confectionary, stationery, toiletries and essentials for purchase.

The opening hours are:

Monday – Thursday:

1145 – 1345 hours
1730 – 2200 hours


1145 – 1330 hours


The library provides a comprehensive selection of –

  • Books
  • Journals
  • DVD's
  • Government circulars

Photocopying facilities, study areas, computer work stations and access to Wi-Fi are accessible within the Library facilities.

Computer Suite

There are two computer rooms which have over 35 terminals. Students during the week can access the internet as well as make use of software such as Microsoft Word and Powerpoint.

All external storage disks including memory sticks and pen drives must be virus checked by the College IT Helpdesk prior to their use in College computers.


The College has a dining room which can accommodate 350 persons at one sitting.

Self service is the norm however waitress service can be provided to external organisations at an additional cost.

For Conferences and Meeting buffets can be provided within the Culzean building.

All tea/coffee breaks for Conference and Meeting will be serviced on site to avoid any disruption.

Residential Accommodation

Single and double bedrooms with en suite facilities can be booked if you are arranging a weekend Conference or Seminar. A number of rooms are suitable for persons with a disability. These rooms are available from late Friday afternoon through to Sunday afternoon. Each room is equipped with a wardrobe, built in study desk with table lamp and some rooms have a television.
